Killer Bean Boss Guide — All 4 Bosses & 4 Mini‑bosses
Every boss in the 2026 Killer Bean Steam Early Access build, with weak points, phase breakdowns, and the best weapons for each fight. The current EA build has 4 main bosses (one per biome) and 4 optional minibosses. Difficulty is rated 1–6, where 1 is the tutorial boss and 6 is the endgame DPS check.
The first boss and a teaching tool. Three clear phases: ranged suppression, melee charge, and a Shadow Troop summon. Burn the adds first with the Explosive Burrito Launcher, then poke the Commander in the head during recovery frames.
Recommended weapons
S Dual Wield DeaglesA Assault Bean ARA Shadow Shotgun
Strategy tips
Always keep distance — the charge one‑shots you at close range
The dual Deagles crit window is 1.4 s long, practice the cancel
Drop kick finishers restore stamina for emergency dodges
Weak point: Back-mounted fuel tank (explodes for 30% max HP)
Health: Very High
Gunship support, sandstorm cover, and a flamethrower sweep. The fuel tank is the gimmick — burn the adds, hide during the airstrike, and unload on the exposed back during the flamethrower wind‑up.
Recommended weapons
B Sniper BeanA Plasma BeanB Rocket Bean
Strategy tips
The airstrike has a 5‑second tell — run to the rock formations
Sniper Bean can one‑shot the fuel tank from across the map
Don't try to out-DPS the flamethrower, just back off and wait
Weak point: Reactor core (only exposed during the EMP pulse)
Health: Extreme
Bullet‑spongiest boss in the game. The reactor is invulnerable until the EMP, so bring ammo‑efficient weapons. Save the Burrito Launcher for the summon phase adds.
Recommended weapons
A Plasma BeanS Explosive Burrito LauncherB Machine Gun Bean
Strategy tips
The EMP pulse is the only damage window — learn the 1.8 s cadence
Plasma Bean ignores the heavy armor plating around the reactor
Bring a Loot Magnet modifier — you'll need every pickup
Endgame boss. Cycles through three weak points in order — head, heart, spine — and summons a Shadow Bean elite on each phase change. You're expected to bring a maxed Stealth skill tree.
Recommended weapons
A Shadow ShotgunA Revolver BeanB Grenade Bean
Strategy tips
The Stealth finisher on the summoned Shadow Bean resets the cycle to phase 1
Don't break line of sight during the volcano eruption cutscene — the falling rocks do real damage
Revolver Bean's reload cancel is required for the spine phase DPS check
The minibosses reward skill tree tokens, ammo caches, and rare weapon drops. They are optional — you can finish the campaign without fighting any of them — but the XP and loot are worth it for a second or third run.
A buggy driven by a Bad Bean lieutenant. Two shots to the engine, then mop up the driver. Often forgotten because the loot table is mid, but it's the easiest way to farm early XP.
Recommended weapon:A SMG Bean
Drops the Stealth skill tree starter token
Can be cheesed from the ridge with the Sniper Bean
Desert · Difficulty 2/6 · 2 phase
🪖 Pirate Artillery Crew
Weak point: Cannon ammo crates (chain explosion)
Three pirates manning a howitzer. One explosive round to the ammo crates clears the whole crew. The harder part is the pirate reinforcements that spawn on the second wave.
Recommended weapon:B Rocket Bean
Grenade Bean with a Loot Magnet modifier trivializes the adds
Don't stand in front of the cannon when it fires — obvious but people keep dying
Snow · Difficulty 3/6 · 2 phase
🪖 Mercenary Helicopter
Weak point: Tail rotor
Flying mini‑boss. The Sniper Bean one‑shots the tail rotor if you time it during the hover. The Machine Gun Bean suppresses the door gunner while the squad gets in range.
Recommended weapon:B Sniper Bean
Throws smoke grenades — wait for the laser sight to show
Drops the Parkour skill tree mid‑tier token
Volcano · Difficulty 4/6 · 3 phase
🪖 Shadow Elite
Weak point: Back of the neck during parry window
Stealth assassin mini‑boss. Disappears, flanks, and one‑shots you from behind. The only correct counter is the Stealth skill tree reveal passive, then a parry into shotgun point blank.
Recommended weapon:A Shadow Shotgun
If you don't have Stealth tier 2 unlocked, skip the optional encounter
Drop kick finishers cancel the invisibility
General boss‑fighting tips
Learn the tell. Every boss has a 1–2 second wind‑up before the big attack. That window is your damage window.
Don't panic‑reload. Reload cancels are an advanced mechanic but they save your life on the harder bosses. The Deagles cancel is 0.4 seconds.
Burn the adds first. Every main boss summons adds at the phase change. The Burrito Launcher clears them faster than the boss itself does.
Stealth breaks invisibility. The Shadow Elite miniboss teleports behind you. The Stealth skill tree reveal passive (tier 2) is the only consistent counter.
Save your Unstoppable. The Unstoppable skill (Guns Blazing tier 4) gives 1.5 seconds of invulnerability and damage reflection. Save it for the phase‑3 boss burn.
